Valeria, Stanford Class of '21

As a former Stanford Admissions officer, Valeria has a wealth of educational experience. Having read countless applications and conducted applicant interviews, Valeria understands what catches the attention of admissions committees.
Her approach to counseling is highly individualized—she works to understand how each student most effectively learns and tailors her guidance to align with their unique goals.
In 2021, she graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. Her professional experience also spans media literacy as well as arts and business administration.
Helena, Stanford Class of '20

For nearly a decade, Helena has guided students through the process of crafting exceptional college admissions essays that have earned applicants acceptance to top-tier colleges and universities including Pomona, MIT, Yale, Stanford, UPenn, Harvard, USC, UC Berkeley, UCLA and others.
She works closely with students to understand their unique background, strengths, and aspirations, and helps them showcase their personal image through their essays. She believes every student has a bright future ahead and is here to help them get there.
Her background spans sociocultural anthropology, comparative literature, sociology, earth science, neuroscience, education and creative writing. In 2016, she earned ~$500,000 in scholarships and admission to Yale, Stanford, MIT, Harvard, UC Berkeley, USC and UCLA. In 2020, she graduated from Stanford University with Distinction and is currently pursuing a second master's degree.
Marisol, Stanford Class of '19, '21

Marisol Zarate is a two-time Stanford graduate with extensive experience navigating competitive application processes for undergraduate, law school and Ph.D. programs. She has also taught various academic skills and sociological writing courses at Stanford.
She has guided over 100 first-generation, low-income students toward academic success and specializes in creating an academic plan for each applicant, to transform their stories of resilience into compelling narratives that highlight their strengths.
Currently, Marisol is pursuing her law degree at UC Berkeley School of Law and her Ph.D at Stanford. She earned her M.A. in Sociology at Stanford in 2021. Before that, she earned her B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from Stanford University in 2019. Her professional background spans both the legal field and sociological academic research.
